Constance Love Memorial FundPerpetuate the spirit of charity and service to communityPlease join us in establishing The Constance Love Memorial Fund. Born in Oberlin, Ohio (1964-2001), Connie was selflessly devoted to her community. She worked as an AIDS health education aide for the Lorain County Health Department as well as the Lorain County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program where she was a prevention specialist and a certified HIV/AIDS instructor. Connie was also a volunteer at The Lorain County Rape Crisis Service where she worked on behalf of survivors of sexual assault/abuse. May we celebrate and honor her loving spirit and steadfast courage in facing life's challenges. Donations from this fund shall be used to support the Lorain County Rape Crisis Service. Lorain Morning Journal, Thursday, December 13, 2001:Constance Marie Love, 37 -- Constance Marie '"Connie" Love, 37, of Elyria, formerly of Oberlin, died suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at EMH Regional Medical Center, Elyria. She was born July 16, 1964, in Oberlin, where she lived most of her life until she recently moved to Elyria. She graduated from Oberlin High School in 1982 and received an associate's degree from Lorain County Community College. Miss Love was employed as a public speaker and AIDS health education aide by the Lorain County Health Department. She volunteered with the Rape Crisis Center, Lorain, and the American Red Cross. Survivors include her mother, Ethel J. Love (nee Moore), of Oberlin; sisters Patrice Martin of Oberlin, Jacqueline Washington of Orange Park, Fla., and Tonie Carmichael of Euclid; and aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, John Charles Love. Friends may call Friday 6 to 8 p.m. at Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 370 S. Lincoln St., Oberlin, where services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. District Elder Laurence Nevels, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin. 2001: I live in Elyria, Oh. I am a Prevention Specialist for Lorain County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services. I have been there for 5 years. I do HIV/AIDS education at the local jails and prisons. Single, no children. Enjoying life to the fullest, and I can't wait to see everyone at the 20 year reunion. I am working on the committee with several other classmates to bring this reunion to it's fruition! |
